This a live stream of electricity generation in the UK. This data is updated every 5 minutes, 24/7/365 - solar updates every 30 minutes, due to limiations in the data source. This is based on data provided by the National Grid and Sheffield University.
The line graph shows actual power generation and therefore usage over the last 4 hours, and updates every 5 minutes. All times are UTC, and so may appear to be 1 hour out, during British Summer Time. The price charts so the breakdown between Brown, Green, Blue - Nuclear and other (Imported Power) for the last 5 minutes, and the breakdown by actual fuel type. The solar figures are estimates from Sheffield University.
The tables breakdown the data in the pie charts into a more easily read form. All generation is measuered in MW.
Sheffield University working closely with National Grid, have derived an up to date estimate of the PV capacity deployed on the GB transmission network. Thier latest estimate puts the installed capacity at 12 GWp!
